The Gaming Giant Brings Onboard Apex Legends Lead to Rescue Struggling Hero Shooter Project Ethos
The renowned publisher has secured a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to oversee the development team at their internal studio, which is currently working on the anticipated over-the-shoulder roguelike extraction-shooter known as this innovative game.
Leadership Shift Follows Mixed Reception
Brinkman takes on the leadership position at the development studio following the dismissal of previous head Michael Condrey, who was reportedly let go due to the game's lackluster initial reveal last fall.
Recently, 2K president a key figure updated employees about this strategic move through an internal memo, which highlighted that early feedback sessions had shown the necessity for a distinct vision.
The president stated that the team is now refining the project with a renewed approach, aiming to better meet gamer demands.
Trend of Strategic Acquisitions
The news follows a similar action taken by the publisher in the summer, when they brought on an industry veteran from Blizzard to contribute to the BioShock studio Cloud Chamber.
