Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be pepper spray.
The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
